SIR JOHN KEEGAN (1934-2012) was the most esteemed military historian of his generation, the author of penetrating works on the nature of combat, from prehistory through the 21st century, on land, air and sea, as well as intelligence warfare and the psychology of battle. He won the Duff Cooper Prize in 1993 for A History of Warfare. He also published Churchill’s Generals, a vital study, in 1991.
SPENCER GARRETT is best known for his film work in The Front Runner (2018), All the Way (2016), Public Enemies (2009), 21 (2008) and Air Force One (1997), as well as countless television series, including most recently, House of Cards.
