Description
Excerpts from the diaries of Winston Churchill’s physician, Sir Charles Wilson (nee Lord Moran); an important sourcework, somewhat circumscribed by the fact that Churchill was often ill when the author saw him. This is a very good copy of the First English edition in a price-clipped dust jacket. The contents are fine, with tape shadows on the front and rear pastedowns and endpapers. Laid-into the book is a typed letter signed: “Moran,” on embossed notepaper, dated “28th April 1966,” relating to a speaking engagement “on the subject of my book.”
