This concise volume was official Churchill biographer Sir Martin Gilbert’s first book about Winston Churchill, written while Gilbert was still senior research assistant to Randolph Churchill on the Official Biography. Initially published in England by the Oxford University Press as part of its Clarendon Biographies series, it remains, in our opinion, the best brief biography of Churchill ever written.
This is very good First American edition copy in an edge-chipped, but unclipped dust jacket has been signed by the author in ink on the title page.
