Description

This is a very good copy of the First American edition in an unclipped dust jacket. A study of the fifth column, a dreaded international network of Nazi agents, reveals that popular belief concerning the prevalence and efficiency of the international Fifth Column was greatly exaggerated. Although widely dispersed and highly effective in Poland and Yugoslavia, an international Fifth Column did not effectively exist and effected more through its existence as rumor than as a functioning organization.
