This very good copy of the First English edition, in an unclipped dust jacket, is signed by the author on the title page: “Inscribed for Dennis Silk with admiration and good wishes. John Collville 1986.” There is some spotting to the book’s upper fore-edge. The contents are fine.

DENNIS SILK (1931-2019) was a legendary British cricketeer and, later, a noted Headmaster of Radley College, who was also a close friend of the poet Sieigfried Sassoon.
