Description
“This revelation of the secrets of nature, long mercifully withheld from man, should arouse the most solemn reflections in the mind and conscience of every human being capable of comprehension.” A very good copy of this very rare and important pamphlet, prepared in the wake of the dropping of the atom bomb in Japan and before the change of governments; issued jointly by Churchill and the new Prime Minister Clement Atlee on August 6, 1945.
The paper covers here are a bit worn and darkened with age, there are light creases to the front and rear faces, some soiling and edge chips, a spot of foxing on the front face, and modest rust staining surrounding the binding’s two small interior staples. Overall, however, this is a very healthy example of a very precious piece of Churchilliana.
