The typed paper caption, dated March 24, 1949, reads:
“Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of Britain during World War II, and Mrs. Churchill, recline in parlor chairs in a private pullman, ‘Richelieu,’ on ‘The Judiciary’ train at Pennsylvania Station, New York City, Mar. 24, prior to departing for Washington, D.C., for a visit with President Truman.”
The photograph is in very good condition. The verso bears multiple stamps, including: “Associated Press Photo.”
