Description
A U.S. heavy cruiser, which the Japanese claimed prematurely to have sunk at least four times. She fought in three major battles before being sunk on February 28, 1942, with most of the crew lost. The author was one of the few survivors. A very good copy, corners lightly worn, rear cover lightly rubbed, owner’s name stamped on front free endpaper, in dust jacket with chipped edges & corners and faded spine.
