Framed Original VANITY FAIR PRINT of Winston Churchill’s Mother

A rare original print of this caricature of Winston Churchill’s mother, Jenny, under her re-married name, Mrs. George Cornwallis-West, as published in Vanity Fair magazine November 20, 1912, drawn by the noted artist George Kruger Grey (1880-1943), whose nome de plume was simply “K.”

This virtually mint example, measuring 14 1/2 x 9 inches, has been handsomely matted in multi-ply and framed in gilt (17 x 22 1/2 inches overall). Affixed to the frame verso is a reproduction of the original Vanity Fair personality profile that accompanied this caricature, headlined: “Women of the Day.”
