Typed paper caption , dated September 28, 1942, reads:
“Prime Minister Winston Churchill tests the radio in the “Churchill Tank” which has been named for him. The heavy monster is strongly armored and possesses great speed and formidable fire-power. It is equipped with six-pound cannons and it may be used as a pill box. Britain is producing Churchill Tanks in great numbers.”

The photograph is in very good condition with some faint creases. The verso is stamped: “Wide World Photos.”
