Collector's Guide

Lord Randolph Churchill was Winston Churchill’s first work of biography and an impassioned two-volume defense of his maligned father’s posthumous reputation. It was subsequently issued in an unabridged one-volume edition and is a bulwark of any Churchill collection.

Description

This is a good-to-very good First American edition set. The red cloth retains strong color, though the spines have faded, with a crease running the length of the spine of Volume II. The gilt titles and gilded top fore-edges are bright. There is foxing to the prelims and crisply repaired hinges, front and rear, in both volumes. The contents are otherwise fine.
