Vintage catalogue for an exhibition mounted by the London Times Bookshop in honor of Churchill’s 80th Birthday, commencing on Churchill’s birthday, November 30, 1954. Very handsomely printed, the catalogue contains a detailed, descriptive list of “Books by Winston Spencer Churchill” along with “Biographies and Associated Items.” There are three duo-tone illustrations: Oswald Birley’s portrait painting of Churchill; a drawing page from The River War; and a holograph page from Churchill’s Marlborough manuscript.
In mint condition. Lovely and rare. Laid-in is an Order Form from John Bumpus, one of Churchill’s favorite London bookshops, for Books by and About Sir Winston Churchill.
