Collector's Guide

Marlborough is Winston Churchill’s majestic biography of John Churchill, the first Duke of Marlborough; soldier, statesmen, hard-headed Churchillian ancestor. Initially published in England as a lush four-volume set and then as a somewhat less deluxe six-volume set in America, it was subsequently issued in an unabridged two-volume edition and a single-volume abridgment.

Description

This two-volume reprint edition, first published in 1947, was photo-lithographed from the original first English edition, compressed and printed on thinner paper, but left unabridged. It is a lovely set, here in unclipped dust jackets that are virtually mint, just darkened a bit on the spines, else fine. The contents are fine.

A beautiful way to read Churchill’s magnum biographical opus.
