First appearance of this historic and surprisingly even-handed, extended, early assessment of “that mystery called Hitler.” The essay ultimately was included in GREAT CONTEMPORARIES. This is a very good copy of the original magazine, with a previous owner’s address scrawled in ink across the upper edge of the cover. The contents are fine.
